회원 여러분, 잘 지내셨나요?

벌써 6월도 거의 다 지나갔네요.
소식 들어 알고 계시는 분들도 계시겠지만, 요즘 명지대 바둑학과가 학과 폐과 반대 운동으로 좀 바쁩니다. 덕분에 저도 상당히 바쁜 나날을 보내고 있고요. 그래서 학회지 발간 소식도 이렇게 늦었네요. 죄송합니다.
저희 <바둑학연구> 2024년 제1호가 지난 5월 31일에 나왔습니다. 홈페이지 Journal 부분 보시면 PDF파일도 올라와 있습니다. 아시다시피, 이번 호는 <바둑학연구>가 세상에 나온지 20년을 기념하는 특별호로 정수현 명예교수님과 박우석 명예회장님 두 분의 회고담을 실었습니다. 일반 연구도 5편을 실었습니다.

이제 약 한 달 후면 프랑스 Toulouse에서 European Go Congress가 시작되겠네요. 저희 학술대회도 8월 7일에 열리는 것 다 알고 계시지요? 학술대회 당일 줌으로 생중계할 예정인데, 현장에 참여하진 못하시더라도, 많은 관심 부탁드립니다. 학술대회 준비에 협조와 지원읗 아끼지 않은 EGC team에게 다시 한번 감사 드립니다.
그리고, 학술대회에 참가하실 분들은 반드시 EGC사이트에 등록하셔야 함을 알려드립니다. (https://egc2024.org) 학술대회만 참석하시는 분들도 꼭 등록부탁드립니다. 등록되지 않은 분은 학술대회 현장에 접근이 불가능합니다.

이제 곧 회원님들 계시는 곳에서도 무더위가 시작되겠네요. 건강한 여름 보내시기 바랍니다. 감사합니다.

Dear members, how have you been?

June has already passed.

As you may know, Myongji University's Dept. of Baduk Studies has been quite busy these days due to the abolition plan of the school and the movement against it. Owing to this, I have been also very busy. That's why the news of the publication of our journal was so late. I apologize.

The first issue of our "Journal of Go Studies" in 2024 came out on May 31st. If you look at the website's Journal section, you can find PDF files. As you know, this issue is especially commemorating the 20th anniversary of the release of our journal and contains the memoirs of two honorary professors, Prof. Jeong Soohyun and Prof. Park Woosuk. Five general research articles have also been published.

In about a month, the European Go Congress will begin in Toulouse, France. You may know that our conference will be held on August 7th. It will be broadcast live on Zoom on the day of the conference, and even if you can't join at the place, please check it out. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the EGC team for their unwavering support and cooperation in preparing for the conference.
Additionally, we remind all participants that you must register on the EGC website (https://egc2024.org) to attend the conference. Even those attending only the conference sessions are required to register. Please note that access to the conference venue will be restricted to registered participants only.

Soon the heat wave will begin and I hope all of you have a healthy summer. Thank you.
