Vice President Sun Yuan Donates KRW 1,000,000 to Support the 2026 Go Promotion Awards

We are pleased to announce that Vice President Sun Yuan (Professor at Shanghai International Studies University and a professional Go player in China) has generously donated KRW 1,000,000 to support the 2026 Go Promotion Awards. We extend our sincere appreciation for this contribution.

Each year, the International Society of Go Studies (ISGS) presents Go Promotion Awards at the annual International Conference on Go Studies, recognizing individuals who have made significant contributions to the global promotion of Go. Awards are presented for 1st–3rd place as follows: KRW 500,000 (1st place), KRW 300,000 (2nd place), and KRW 200,000 (3rd place).

In line with the conference schedule, we will invite submissions of videos documenting Go promotion activities for review and evaluation. We encourage broad participation. For further details, please refer to the related announcement on our website.
