President's Updates 9/2024

Dear members of ISGS,

As Vice President Daniela Trinks reported, the 2nd International Go Conference in Toulouse, France, has ended successfully. Now, we are given the last important tasks of the year, publishing the 4th journal of the ISGS as planned, and preparing well for the 3rd International Conference on Go Studies next year.

Please refer to the Notification at the bottom of the first screen of the homepage for the details related to the 4th journal (Journal of Go Studies, Vol.18 No. 2). The submission deadlines are approaching: abstracts are due by October 4, 2024, and complete manuscripts by November 8, 2024.

The 3rd International Conference will be held during the 2025 European Go Congress in Warsaw, as previously announced by Vice President Trinks.

Also, like the last two conferences, we will be holding the Go Promotion Award this time. Details will be announced soon.

I would like to thank Tomasz Andrzejewski, the president of the Polish Go Association, for allowing us to join the European Go Congress for two consecutive years. We will prepare well so that we can have academic exchanges with many people again. I hope that many members will continue to show interest and participate.

다니엘라 트링스 부회장이 잘 정리해주신 대로 프랑스 툴루즈에서 열린 제2회 국제바둑학술대회가 성공적으로 끝났습니다. 이제 저희에게는 올해의 마지막 중요 과업인 국제바둑학회의 4번째 학술지를 계획대로 잘 발간하는 일과 내년 제3회 국제바둑학술대회를 잘 준비하는 일이 주어졌습니다.

4번째 학술지 (Vol.18 No.2 <바둑학연구>)의 투고와 관련한 사항은 홈페이지 첫 화면 하단의 Notification을 참고하시면 되겠습니다. 투고 기한이 얼마 남지 않았습니다. 많은 참여 부탁드립니다.

제3회 국제학술대회는 트링스 부회장이 이미 알린 바와 같이 2025 European Go Congress in Warsaw와 함께 하게 되었습니다.
